Let’s build a beautiful grow-out vivarium for a group of poison dart frogs! This is Ameerega bassleri, or the pleasing poison frog. These guys are native to the eastern slopes of the Andes in Peru where they can be found near streams in lowland and montane rainforest. Like other dart frogs this species can be found in a few different color forms depending on the locality, with these being a striking metallic blue/green, hence why they are referred to as “chrome bassleri”.
